TNTV-SL-ADI cards are mostly the same as APX8-SL-96DSP with the exception of microcode. The "ADI" version allows you to use only its odd-numbered modems (1, 3, 5, etc), therefore you have only 48 usable modems out of 96. Try the "modem -p" command to see how many modems are available to you.
Another difference is the g723, g728 and fast-rate GSM codecs which are proprietary and are only available in the non-upgraded, 48-modem "ADI" version. Both "ADI" and "96DSP" cards support g711 and g729 codecs. An "ADI" card will lose its support of the g723, g728 and frgsm codecs during upgrade, becoming an exact replica of an APX8-SL-96DSP card. It will show up in the cards list (the "show" command) as "madd2-card" instead of an old "madd-card".
